*All data collection is completed online through the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) – Virginia Center for School and Campus Safety

**The term “safety audit” includes all five aspects of the Virginia School Safety Audit Program as administered by the Virginia Center for School and Campus Safety within the DCJS:

  1. Virginia School Safety Survey (completed annually)
  2. The Division Level Survey (completed annually)
  3. Virginia School Crisis Management Plan Review and Certification\verification (completed annually).
  4. Virginia School Survey of Climate and Working Conditions (administered in the spring of the year).
  5. The School Safety Inspection Checklist Certification/Verification (due August 2014, then every three years thereafter)
