Technology Infrastructure

Technology infrastructure includes the hardware and software needed to support Educational Technology as well as daily operations. While the focus is instruction of Virginia K-12 students and the structure needed for each organization to operate, safety and security is a priority.

• Acceptable Internet Use Policies: requirement for acceptable use policies, filtering systems, and Internet safety programs
• Internet Safety: model policy for safe use of media and technology provided by community input to the state

Broadband Information and Map

The Office of Broadband is part of the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD).  The Commonwealth Connection Map is a collaborative project to provide an understanding of broadband in Virginia.
