*All data collection is completed online through the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) – Virginia Center for School and Campus Safety

**The term “safety audit” includes all six aspects of the Virginia School Safety Audit Program as administered by the Virginia Center for School and Campus Safety within the DCJS:

1. Virginia School Safety Survey (completed annually)
2. The Division Level Survey (administered every three years)
3. Virginia School Crisis Management Plan Review and Certification\verification (completed annually)
4. Virginia Secondary School Climate Survey (administered in the spring of the year)
5. The School Safety Inspection Checklist (due August 2014, then every three years thereafter) and a completed verification form (completed annually)
6. The School Safety Audit Written Assessment Template (submitted to the Division Safety Audit Committee by December 31 of each year)
