CTE Equipment Lists

State Entitlement Equipment Definition Criteria and Funding

Funds can be used for items listed on the State Approved Equipment Lists for CTE Programs.  

Funds cannot be used for:

• Capital improvements, upgrades or improvements to physical structures, buildings, classrooms, laboratories, etc.;
• Purchase of used or repaired equipment;
• Installation of equipment, unless installation is included in the original purchase price of the equipment; or
• Purchase of materials, supplies and/or commodities that are consumed or materially altered when used.

Classroom and lab equipment can be funded through a combination of local, state, or federal funding sources. 

Equipment Lists by CTE Program Area

The equipment lists provided for each program area are not exhaustive lists. Local program and business and industry needs may necessitate the purchase of additional equipment due to the rapidly changing nature of industry-specific technologies used within CTE courses/programs.
