Much like the blueprint for a building, a test blueprint serves as a guide for test construction. The blueprint indicates the content standards that will be addressed by the test and the number of items that will be included by reporting category and for the test as a whole. There is a blueprint for each test.

Practice Items are available for use by teachers, parents, and students in Virginia. They serve as examples of the types of online test items, including technology-enhanced items (TEI), that are presented to students during an online state assessment. The Practice Items are representative of academic content included in the Standards of Learning.

Ancillary Test Materials are available for Mathematics and Science state assessments.
