Comments on the proposed revision smay be sent to WLSOLcomments@doe.virginia.gov through January 31, 2021. You may submit more than one comment. It is not a requirement that you provide your name and contact information. Providing this information enables the World Language Standards of Learning review team to contact you if further discussion and clarification are needed.
Virtual Public Hearing: January 5, 2021 at 7p.m.
In addition to the online comment period, The Virginia Board of Education will hold a virtual public hearing to solicit comments on the proposed revised World Language Standards of Learning. Although there is no applicable SOL test associated with world language instruction, the SOLs are intended to provide students with the knowledge and skills to be able to interact, within reasonable limits, with users of the language and understand their culture.
